Where on campus can I support with my Senior Class Gift? What types of programs, departments, etc. can receive my support?

You can donate to almost anywhere on campus that you’d like! A few recommendations are Financial Aid, Immediate Impact, and Sustainability. A more comprehensive list can be found here. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, email memorris@haverford.edu and she will work with you to find something that matches your intent!

Why should I give Haverford more money if I’m already paying tuition?

This is a great question! We understand where you're coming from! Tuition does not cover all costs of a Haverford education, and while 49% of students receive some sort of financial aid, all students benefit from the support of our generous donor community to help finance the Haverford they experience every day. 

While everyone needs to consider their budget when making decisions about philanthropy, we hope you'll consider a gift of any size as a sign of your gratitude for your Haverford educational experience, your investment in the College's continued success, and your commitment to the students who come after you.

Will $5 really make any sort of difference?

Five dollars will absolutely make a difference! The collective impact of many gifts makes a huge impact on the Haverford community. 

What payment methods can I use?

Through GiveCampus payments can be made via credit card, digital wallets, Venmo, and PayPal! If you’d like to pay via check, reach out to Margaret Morris, Assistant Director of Annual Giving at memorris@haverford.edu. We are unable to take cash gifts.

Why shouldn’t I wait until I have more money to give?

Gifts made now make an immediate impact on your fellow students and the Haverford community as a whole. Gifts of EVERY size make a difference! 

Can I give to a specific club/club sport/community house?

You absolutely can! Be sure to select “Other” when designating your gift and indicate you’d like to donate to “Students Council Current Use Fund: type the name of your club”.

Will there be other fundraisers later in the year that will count my giving towards the Senior Class Gift?

While the Senior Class Gift program will run until graduation, gifts made as a part of Fall for the Ford, GameDay Fords, and Spring for Haverford will also count towards your Senior Class Gift!

Does all the money go where I specify, or is it only a fraction of the money I’m giving?

100% of your gift goes towards your designation, with the exception of team-specific Athletics gifts.

For Athletics gifts specifically: When you donate to a specific athletic team, 80% goes to your team and 20% goes to the general athletic department in accordance with the Athletics Fundraising Policy.
