What is ‘Impacting Tomorrow Today’ Giving Day?

DA’s 2025 Giving Day is Thursday, November 6 and is a day that Davidson Academy will come together to celebrate and ask our families and community to support the DA Annual Fund.  The goal, as always, is participation. No gift is too small and all gifts are greatly appreciated.  

What is the DA Annual Fund?

The 2025-2026 DA Annual Fund seeks to raise funds to fortify the essential pillars that define Davidson Academy. Your investment in our Annual Fund supports the following specific areas this year: the DA Endowment, HS hallway updates, HS theater department, MS and HS retreat expenses, preschool technology upgrades, scoreboard topper, a new 24 passenger bus, digital signage, campus security guards, faculty Christmas bonus, and need-based financial aid. 

How can I help spread the word about Giving Day?

You can share the campaign with your network, create a match or challenge, and/or create a personal video. 

1. Sharing - While logged into your GiveCampus user account, all sharing buttons generate a campaign link that is unique to you.  When you use these buttons to share the campaign, your impact will be tracked and celebrated next to your name on the campaign page!  
2. Create a Match or Challenge - Leverage your gift to encourage others to give!  Offering a Match means that you'll give a number of dollars for every dollar or donor that the campaign receives up to your specified maximum gift amount.  Offering a Challenge means that you'll give a gift if the campaign receives a certain number of donors or dollars.  
3. Create your Personal Video - A Personal Video is a quick video in which you tell the Davidson Academy community why you're excited about the campaign, and why others should get involved.  You can upload this under the advocate tab.  A member of the DA Giving Day administrative team will review your video, and once it is approved, it will go live on the campaign.

How do I make my gift?

The easiest way to make your gift is through this Giving Day page.  You can use any of these methods: credit card, Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay or bank transfer.

Can DA families make separate gifts to raise the number of donors and help DA meet their goal?

Absolutely!  Since the DA goals and challenge dollars are based on the number of donors, we’d love it if you would make individual gifts.  The donor count is associated with your email address, so be sure to use a different email with each gift.

Can I make a sustaining gift?

Set it and forget it!  We love recurring gifts and hope you will take advantage of setting up a recurring gift on our Giving Day website.  Not only will you be counted in our donor totals, but you’ll also continue supporting Davidson Academy on a regular basis without having to take any additional action. 

Is my Giving Day contribution tax-deductible?

Yes.  Your give will be entirely tax-deductible as Davidson Academy is a recognized 501(c)(3).  Donors will receive an email confirmation after submitting their donation, which serves are a receipt for tax purposes.
