When does Hoos Giving 2025 take place?

This campaign will begin at 9 a.m. September 22 and end at 8 p.m. September 23.

What is the purpose of Hoos Giving 2025? 

This campaign was created to provide supplemental support to the Virginia Athletics Department and our 27 varsity teams, including scholarship, operational, and academic affairs support. 

What is the goal of Hoos Giving 2025?

Our goal is to have 1,000 donors support our 27 varsity programs.

What if I want to mail in my gift?

For your gift to count toward this campaign, it must be postmarked in the mail by September 23. Checks should be addressed to Virginia Athletics Foundation and mailed to P.O. Box 400833, Charlottesville, VA 22904-4833. 

What if I want to give to more than one sport? More than two sports?

GiveCampus, our giving platform, allows you to select up to five designations when making your gift, and customize the amount invested into each fund. Unrestricted gifts are another great way to give to the Virginia Athletics Foundation to programs with the most need.

How will my gift be used? 

Donors who wish to support a specific sport have the option to designate their gift to that team’s Friends Of program. The Friends Of program serves as a critical component in meeting the scholarship costs for specific sports within the athletics department. As revenue-producing sports, football and men’s basketball do not have Friends Of programs.

Gifts can be allocated to Sport Enhancement Funds by providing resources essential to that program's overall operation. These funds will provide sports programs with the resources to operate a nationally competitive program. 

Unrestricted gifts donated to the Annual Fund will be used to support scholarship needs for all 27 varsity programs where it is most needed.

Can I submit a pledge now and pay later?

Yes, you can call the Virginia Athletics Foundation office at 434.982.5555 between 9 a.m. September 22 to 8 p.m. from September 23. Pledges must be paid by December 31, 2025.
