1. What is Caltech Giving Day?
Caltech Giving Day is a time for the Caltech community to come together to support and celebrate our students, faculty, and researchers.
2. When is Caltech Giving Day?
Caltech Giving Day is on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025.
3. Who can give?
Anyone can give! Gifts of every amount have a significant impact on Caltech research, discovery, and our student experience.
4. Why should I participate?
The Caltech Fund supports the Institute and its students, faculty, and researchers via generous gifts from alumni, parents, and friends. The Caltech Fund provides the Institute with immediate, flexible, and unrestricted funds, giving administrators the ability to maintain Caltech’s position as a world-class leader in the advancement of science, engineering, and technology.
5. Are gifts tax-deductible?
Caltech is a Section 501(c)3 nonprofit and your gift may qualify as a charitable deduction for federal income tax purposes. Please consult with your tax advisor or the IRS for more information. Caltech's Tax ID Number is 95-1643307.
6. Can I give by check or over the phone?
Yes! If you are making a gift by check, please make your check payable to Caltech Fund, either specify your gift designation in the memo line or include an accompanying note, and mail the check to our JPMorgan Chase lockbox at the following address:

7. Is there a minimum gift amount?
Yes, we accept gifts of $5 or more.
8. What is a donor wall?
The Donor Wall displays a full list of the donations to Giving Day, and it can be viewed by clicking the "Donors" tab on the campaign page. Using the options found at the bottom of this donation page, each donor can customize the way their gift can be viewed on the site by hiding their name, the amount they gave, or both.
9. Can I volunteer for Caltech Giving Day?
The best way to support Caltech Giving Day is to spread the word! Be an advocate for Caltech Giving Day by sharing with your family, friends, and Caltech community why supporting the Institute is important to you. Volunteers like you encourage others to do the same and are critical to the success of Caltech Giving Day.
