What is Yeshiva University's Giving Day?

YU’s Giving Day is an online fundraising event for all members of the Yeshiva University community.

When is Giving Day?

Yeshiva University's Giving Day starts at 6 p.m. on April 1 and ends at 6 a.m. on April 3.

What makes my contribution so special during these 36 hours?

Your gift can have an even bigger impact, thanks to a handful of generous supporters who will be providing matching funds. In addition, you can designate your gift to specific projects that resonate most with you. Throughout the day, leaderboards will show progress in real time.

Where do these gifts go?

Students, faculty, staff, parents, friends and alumni are invited to join as we raise funds for different projects in eight areas: student scholarships, undergraduate Torah study, student experiences, athletics, RIETS, Cardozo School of Law and Senior Class Gift. The eighth opportunity funds the area of greatest need, which allows YU to target your gift to its most pressing needs. Donors can designate their gifts to areas they find especially meaningful.

Does a $18 donation really make an impact?

We’ve all heard over and over again that gifts of any size matter. Is it true? The answer, in a word, is yes. It may seem like small change, but when we join together, $10 or $20 gifts add up to thousands of dollars over time. Another way gifts add up? For those who can, giving a monthly donation is one way to have a big influence without giving a large gift at once.

Plus, YU Giving Day is as much about participation as it is about the size of donations. We want everyone to feel that they have played a part, because they have!

Who will receive my contact information?

The area(s) you choose to support will have access to your name and email address. This information is used solely to send thank you messages, provide the option to receive future notifications and to notify you of future activities.
