A reminder that all our fixtures lead into the two most important days for the Club for the year - the Boat Races. The Lightweight Boat Races will take place on Monday 20 March. The Gemini Boat Races will take place on Sunday 26 March. All races will be livestreamed, but we look forward to seeing as many members as possible in-person to cheer on our crews from Putney to Mortlake!
2023 Boat Race Dinner Information
The 2023 Boat Race Dinner will be held at the De Vere Connaught Rooms after the Gemini Boat Races on Sunday 26th March, 2023. The dinner is the perfect setting in which to welcome and to celebrate those who have just earned life membership to CUBC through their racing in the Boat Race & the Lightweight Boat Race.
This year’s dinner builds upon the 2022 Dinner, which was the first event for the unified club and saw over 360 members and supporters join to celebrate the Club and its newest members.
The dress code for the dinner is black tie/cocktail or evening dresses, with full-colours dress/crew blazers reserved for the 2023 crews. The ticket price includes a 3-course meal and half a bottle of wine per person. A cash (card-based) bar will also be available and this will operate until 1:00am, after which members and guests are invited to the CUBC Boat Race After Party.
Members organising a crew reunion are requested to use the event link to notify the organising committee of their year to facilitate their crew being seated together. The seating plan for the dinner will be on display at arrival, and members of the 2023 crews will be seated at each table.
A photographer will be present; other photography, video footage and associated social media postings are unwelcome.
Ticket prices for students are subsidised from attendees' ticket revenue, but Contributions towards further support of the Club are welcome and may be made through this website.
Life Members are advised to book places at the dinner early; prices will rise by £20 on 12 March 2022 to accommodate last minute fees associated with the venue.
