Your Role as an Advocate: As a Giving Day advocate, your role is to:

• Spread the Word: Share your personal Giving Day fundraising link with friends and family. Use your networks (social media, email, etc.) to inform others about Giving Day
• Encourage Donations: Share why you support Stony Brook University and how their gift can make a difference.
• Engage Your Community: Reach out to alumni, friends, and other supporters to ensure awareness of Giving Day.
• Get Creative: Create a short, personalized video to share your story and why Stony Brook is important to you (optional, but fun!)
• Earn Incentives: Visit givingday.stonybrook.edu to find out about possible incentives you can receive by being a Giving Day Advocate - such as limited edition SBU shoelaces, discounted Staller Center tickets, and more!
