📖Athenaeum: Unique in American higher education, the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum (the “Ath”) is a signature program of Claremont McKenna College. Four nights a week during the school year, the Ath brings scholars, public figures, thought leaders, artists, and innovators to engage with the CMC and Claremont College community.

🎓 John E. Allen Alumni Merit Award: Originally established as a scholarship in 1991 by Trustee Rossi A. Russell ’71 and John E. Allen ’73, it was renamed the John E. Allen Alumni Merit Award in 2001 after John’s sudden death at age 50. Russell and Allen bonded over a common goal—to increase the diversity of the student body. In 1991, they set out to create a merit award, and today the award helps students who come from underrepresented communities or show a demonstrated commitment to underrepresented communities. Russell committed his own funding and Allen drove the grassroots fundraising that enabled the fund to grow.
🧠 Mental Health Fund: CMC recognizes that our students face various challenges in our current times and continues to respond by adapting and increasing student mental health resources. Make your gift to the Health Fund to help Monsour Counseling and Psychological Services and the Dean of Students meet our students' mental health needs.
📓 SIE (Sponsored Internships and Experiences): Its goal is to encourage quality student experiences across a variety of industries and geographies that facilitate development and growth. The program provides funding for CMC students, particularly in their first and second summers, to pursue domestic and international experiences of 4 to 12 weeks in length.
🌎 SOURCE: Student Outreach Utilizing Resources and Community Exchange (SOURCE) was designed by CMC students to improve the services and capacities of regional nonprofit organizations. 💼 Soll Center for Student Opportunities: Provides personalized advising, coaching, mentoring and networking support for students at all stages of their college experience.
