Will I receive a receipt? Yes, you receive a confirmation of your gift and in January, receive a letter for tax preparation.
Is my donation tax deductible? The Vincennes University Foundation is an independent entity, which functions to obtain and administer resources in support of the dual mission of Vincennes University. The VU Foundation is guided by a board of directors of 27 persons. It is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) organization and contributions received are tax deductible, which means that contributions to the VU Foundation are eligible to be claimed by the donor as a Charitable Contribution Deduction. Indiana taxpayers may also claim the Tax Credit for contributions to Indiana higher education institutions on the Indiana income tax return.
What are the different ways I can give? You can complete the online form here, write a check to the VU Foundation, or call 812.888.4510 with your credit card. Checks may be dropped off at the Dayson Center at 1109 N. Third St. on the Vincennes Campus or mailed to: VU Foundation, 1002 N. First St., Vincennes, IN 47591
What is the Blaze to a Community Cancer Cure? A new annual fundraiser by the VU Athletics Department to support cancer research and assist local individuals and families in the Vincennes community who are affected by the disease.
What is a matching gift? A matching gift is when a donor will donate one dollar for every dollar donated by another. This is a great way to double your donation by participating in a gift match. Most matching gifts have a set level of giving up to certain amount,
What is a gift challenge? You can make a challenge on the Blazers Give form by making your donation and completing the section where you challenge classmates, friends, and others to make the same amount of donation or donate to the same fund you are supporting.
