What makes your gift during Generation Vassar special?
Generation Vassar is a unique opportunity for the Vassar community to come together and make a lasting impact. During this week, every gift matters no matter the size. Your gift contributes to the collective effort of alums, parents, employees, students, and friends, showing what we can achieve for the College in just one week.
In addition, a group of generous supporters has created exciting challenges, helping your gift unlock additional funds for your class or your student’s class. Throughout the week, live leaderboards will track the challenge’s progress, building excitement and anticipation as we unite to support the future of Vassar.
Can you send your gift in the mail?
We strongly encourage online giving, however, checks received by Friday, February 28, with "Generation Vassar" in the memo line, will count toward the week’s total.

Can you make a gift with stocks, securities, and/or a donor-advised fund for Generation Vassar?
Yes! You can call us at (800) 443-8196, or email the Vassar Fund team at vassarfund@vassar.edu. Be sure to mention “Generation Vassar.”
To make a distribution to Vassar through your donor-advised fund, please contact your financial institution and include “Generation Vassar” along with your desired gift designation (ensure it is a Vassar Fund destination to have it count for Generation Vassar). Letting someone on the Vassar Fund team know of the incoming gifts allows us to count them during the week.
What payment methods do we accept online?
In addition to debit and credit cards, donors can make their gift using PayPal, Venmo, GooglePay, ApplePay, or bank transfer.
Will my gift count if I gave earlier this year?
Generation Vassar is the College’s one-week giving challenge. In previous years, we included all gifts made throughout the fiscal year in the challenge’s results. However, for 2025, only gifts made during the pre-launch period and the week of the challenge will count toward the total raised. Gifts made before the pre-launch period will not be included in this year’s results. If you’ve already made a gift earlier this fiscal year, we hope you will consider making an additional contribution to support the College through Generation Vassar.
