Through her mentorship, Catherine Courtney has done more than shape careers. She has saved lives, by promoting nursing in our community. And now, RCC wishes to honor this amazing woman – and continue her drive to support the health of our region – by creating the Catherine Mooklar Courtney Endowed Nursing Professorship. This major initiative of our 50th anniversary Major Gifts Campaign will  fund the first endowed faculty position for RCC, supporting one full-time nursing professor. An investment of $1 million will endow this vital professorship in perpetuity. 

Catherine Courtney led the way in producing an elite, safe and disciplined group of nursing professionals that have served the Northern Neck, Central Virginia and beyond for many decades. Even today, she continues to guide my nursing heart and mind.
