What are the College Excellence Funds?
The College Excellence Funds at UNCW provide essential, flexible support to meet the evolving needs of UNCW’s academic colleges, benefiting our students, faculty and educational programs. Directed by the dean, these unrestricted funds expand scholarship opportunities, enhance critical resources, support faculty recruitment and retention, enable new opportunities and ensure the flexibility to address unexpected challenges. Contributions to the College Excellence Funds immediately impact today’s students and contribute to the long-term academic excellence in each college.
What are the features of the Excellence in Flight cooler tote?
Our exclusive excellence in flight tote is a 24-can, non-woven boat tote cooler. This tote includes a foil lining, an open front pocket, and double 24’ handles. Full dimensions are 6.00" D x 17.50" W x 13.50" H.
When will I receive my cooler tote?
Cooler totes will be available for pickup at the Homecoming Champagne Brunch (Saturday, Feb. 15) or will be shipped to the address shared when making your gift(s). Shipping will take place after the campaign concludes on Feb. 16 and may take up to four (4) weeks to arrive.
Can I receive more than one cooler tote?
To receive more than one cooler tote, please make multiple gifts of $35 or more to UNCW's College Excellence Funds through this campaign page.
Is there a deadline to make a gift to receive a cooler tote?
This campaign ends Feb. 16. Gifts must be submitted through this page by that date in order to qualify for an exclusive Excellence in Flight cooler tote.
Will gifts made in other ways qualify for the Excellence in Flight cooler tote promotion?
Gifts must be submitted through this campaign webpage by Feb. 16 in order to receive a cooler tote.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments will be processed using a secure online giving form. The information collected through this site will be used only by UNC Wilmington. You can also use your mobile wallet, Venmo, PayPal, and Google Pay, to complete your donation.
Can I support multiple excellence funds?
Yes! Please keep in mind that your level of support over multiple excellence funds must reach or exceed $35 in order to qualify for the exclusive excellence in flight cooler tote.
Will my gift be tax-deductible?
Yes, your gift is tax-deductible, and a receipt for tax purposes will be emailed as soon as the transaction is completed. However, if you elect to receive a cooler tote, please note that a portion of your gift associated with the fair market value of the cooler tote will not be tax deductible. Can I make a recurring gift through Excellence In Flight?
No, all gifts made through this campaign will be processed as one-time gifts. However, you can always set up a recurring gift to support the College Excellence Funds at UNCW by clicking here.
Can I support another area on campus?
Yes! However, Excellence in Flight is focused on support for our academic colleges and their excellence funds. If you are interested in making a gift to another area on campus, please click here.
