What should I name my squirrel? You can name one of these charming, bushy-tailed creatures after yourself, your friends, your family, a former classmate, or a favorite professor. Name it something punny, or make it a heartfelt tribute. The possibilities are almost endless.

Is there anything I can’t name my squirrel? Because we take our role as squirrel-naming stewards seriously (nut-thing to joke about!), our OWU Crew will ensure each name meets the high standards of our bushy-tailed campus residents. We reserve the right to decline any names that might make our acorn-loving friends go nuts with embarrassment! If a name is declined, you will have one opportunity to submit an alternate, but your gift will not be refunded, so choose wisely!

Is this name legally binding? Please note: While the impact of your gift is real, this naming opportunity is only symbolic. With your $20.25+ gift, we hereby vest in you the power to point at any squirrel that issues forth from any tree across campus and call it by whatever name you choose. 

Can I share my squirrel’s name on social media? Yes! We can’t wait to see all the creative names, and it’s a fantastic way to encourage your fellow Bishops to give during We Are OWU!

Why... squirrels? That seems... odd. We prefer to say "nutty" and "branching out during our We Are OWU fun." We’ll never run out of these rascally rodents to name, and we believe that giving back to OWU should be as fun and unique as our University.
