Good news! During the 48-hour “Give Write Now” challenge, Suzanne Rutstein ’95 P’23 and Charles Rutstein ’94 P’23 are offering up to $15,000 in matching funds as we meet donor goals!

When she was a William Smith student, Suzanne Rutstein completed her Honors project on the Writing Colleagues Program, researching the differences between male and female Colleagues working with students. To this day, she is a total Writing Colleagues fan! She and Charles hosted a writing retreat a few summers ago, and now they are in the process of creating a special fund to help support the Writing Colleagues Program. Won’t you help the WC Program, too?

Since the Writing Colleagues Program was created in 1994, hundreds of students have received specialized training and experience to make them highly valuable one-on-one writing-tutors. Today there are more than 100 Writing Colleagues helping fellow classmates all across campus effectively communicate their positions, arguments, ideas, creations and aspirations. And there are nearly 500 Writing Colleague alums whose careers after graduation were helped immensely by their well-developed writing skills.

And remember, if we reach our participation goal of 225 donors, your gift will be matched by Suzanne and Charles Rutstein!
