Williams will be making his head coaching debut with the Herons this year after spending the past 4 seasons on the coaching staff at Syracuse University. Williams has been coaching for 7-years, and he began his coaching career at his alma mater, Ithaca, in 2015. During his season on the sideline, the Bombers won the Empire 8 Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA tournament regional semifinals. The following year, he became an assistant coach at Colgate where the Raiders advanced to the Patriot League tournament championship game in 2016 and earned a National Invitational Volleyball Championship bid in 2017. Williams was also coaching for Hamilton College when he helped the Continentals to the most conference wins and best seed in the NESCAC Tournament in program history. At Syracuse, Williams helped the Orange to a 55-44 record and a season being ranked second in the nation in blocks, with two players in the top 30 in the country for blocks per set. Welcome, Coach Williams, to the Heron Nation!

Solotruck has more than 25-years’ experience coaching at the college level … most-recently as the co-head coach at Castleton University. We will be racing out of Bristol Mountain, and competing in the Mideast Conference of the USCSA. It is our hope to expand and grow the program each year, as Coach Solotruck gets his footing and begins recruiting high-caliber student-athletes to makeup the varsity team. Financial support will be appreciated as we begin setting up the program from scratch. The colleges have budgeted some things operationally, but there are always enhancements every program needs … and we are able to secure those through the generosity of our alumni base who are passionate about their sport. Welcome, Coach Solotruck, to the Heron and Statesmen Nations!
