About the Challenger Learning Center at SC4
The Challenger Learning Center at SC4—which will officially launch in Spring 2022—is one of 40 Challenger Centers nationwide and the only one in Michigan. It is a fully immersive, space-themed STEM experience aimed at:
Missions take place in custom, specially fabricated rooms such as Briefing, Transport, Spacecraft and Mission Control, and learners of all ages—K-12 and college students, educators, corporations and community members—will benefit from the Center. Additionally, programming for 5th-8th grade learners aligns with national science standards and includes pre- and post-mission activities.
The Challenger Learning Center at SC4 is part of Challenger Center’s network of Challenger Learning Centers and a collaboration with Unity in Learning, which consists of the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, the Leslie Science & Nature Center and the Yankee Air Museum. That means top museum experts, researchers and professors from SC4, Michigan and across the country are working together to provide the best STEM-based, simulated experiences possible—experiences that go well beyond your everyday field trip, outing or corporate training session.
