What is the Senior Class Challenge Campaign?
Seniors are challenged to make their first gift to the College before graduating. It's the first step to becoming an involved alum and a way for your class to leave a legacy. All seniors are encouraged to give $20.21 or more to commemorate their graduation year.
Why should I give?
It's an easy way to show your love and appreciation for Marietta College by giving back and paying it forward. A gift to the Marietta Fund makes a difference in the lives of all current and future Pioneers! By giving, you are showing your belief in the success of Marietta, and saying thanks for all it has done for you.
You support what is most important to you — the college overall, your favorite department, club, organization, or program that has made a difference to your undergraduate experience. You can personalize your gift and help whatever cause means the most to you. This is a great opportunity to begin giving back to the place that has given you so much.
What about COVID-19?
We know that your senior year is wrapping up differently in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope that you will consider supporting an area of campus that is meaningful to you, and now there are more ways to support fellow and future Pioneers during this time:
Where does my gift go?
The power of philanthropy is in your hands. Designate your gift to the Marietta Fund and your generosity will go to the area of greatest need/highest priority. Or, you can designate your gift to an area that you are passionate about: your student organization, in honor of a faculty member, your favorite athletics team, financial aid…the list goes on and on! You get to choose what to support. Can’t decide on one thing? You can select multiple areas to contribute to!
Why does my gift matter?
Student and alumni participation in annual giving is a valuable measure of Pioneer pride and satisfaction. It also plays a role in college rankings and gifts provide the college with important financial support. Whatever you can give matters.
What about tuition?
Tuition and fees only support a portion of the educational costs. The rest is from donations, grants, and other sources. Gifts help make Marietta stronger and make college more affordable for Pioneers by allowing Marietta to offer incoming students scholarships.
How do I benefit by giving?
Many of us give back to make the world a better place for the next generation. Beyond this notion, your gift could be tax-deductible. Also, we’re offering special perks to those who give $5, $20.21, $75, $202.10, or more. View these under the "Incentives" section.
How much should I give?
We recommend a gift of $20.21 to honor your senior class. But whether it’s $5 or $500, every gift counts! You can also make a gift of $202.10 or more and join the President’s Circle, Marietta’s exclusive leadership giving society.

What is our goal?
We want to commemorate this occasion by raising $2,021. Also, we want every senior to make a gift to achieve 100% participation. We hope this gift is the first step to a lifetime of alumni engagement and giving!
