Who will be helped by my senior class gift?

We're raising money to support fellow students! Your contribution will help to keep students enrolled in OU and on a path to success. Students from two groups will benefit:

• Students applying to the Student Emergency Assistance Fund

• DACA students not eligible for federal or state financial aid

What does the Student Emergency Assistance Fund provide?

This fund helps any student who may be at the tipping point of dropping out. It's a safety net to help pay for food, books, rent, utilities, and other living expenses, so students can stay focused on their classes and staying in school.

What is DACA?

In 2012, the U.S. government said it would not deport certain undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. when they were kids. These individuals may apply for and be given temporary permission to stay in the U.S. The program is called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA. A person who receives deferred action has permission to stay in the U.S. for a certain period of time.

What is the Seniors for Students campaign goal?

The goal is for each person in the senior class to make a contribution. We're looking for 100 percent participation by May 14, 2019.
